U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker will issue a Thursday morning ruling on whether to stay a decision in the Proposition 8 federal case pending appeal, according to a late Wednesday e-mail from the court.

In a ruling last week, Walker ruled Prop. 8 unconstitutional but issued a temporary stay in the decision pending arguments from attorneys on both sides.

The first part of the “So You Think You Can Dance” season seven finale aired last night, with some great performances from the final three contestants – Kent, Lauren and Robert. Each dancer had to hit the stage several times, including when they performed their solos.

While we’re on the subject of solos, Kent was the first contestant to perform his solo routine, which was to “The Finish Line” by Train. The second solo of the night was from Robert, who performed a rather quirky routine to the Postal Service.
